15th November 2025- Double Dives Double Islands Double Fun
We know summer is quickly approaching when both SoWild and Megawild are fully booked out! SoWild shot up to North Solitary where Megawild ventured out to the all-too-familiar South Solitary. The visibility was surprisingly nicer than anticipated after a run of Northerly winds. To throw another surprise in the bag, the water temp at north was colder than anticipated!
South Solitary had great diving up and down the boulder wall and around the gutters. Half of the boat got to see the Hammerheads cruising around outside of the gap! A massive Queensland Grouper was spotted around Cleaner Rock, the biggest we have seen in years! Heaps of turtles were seen around today, one very large Green Male.
North Solitary Island had our divers in at Anemone Bay first and as the dive site states “Nemo” was there with all his mates!!
There were schools of Tarwhine and Travelly out deep, Black Cod and Basslets filled the gutters
Fish Soup was dive two this had a little surg that made it an eventful dive but still lots to see, Nudibranchs, Black Cod, Painted Crayfish, Kingfish and Bullrays
Congratulations to Bailey Moore who finished her PADI Open Water Cert today
