17th May 2025 – Leopard Shark Still Here!!
The way the weather has been lately we have not been out a lot, so the double dive at South Solitary Island was very welcomed by all on board today.
Dive one was at Manta Arch, we descended onto 2-3 Grey Nurse Sharks around the mooring and 5-6 under the arch and down to the sand, there were schools of Travelly and Bullseyes also hanging around the Arch.
Dive two was at Shark Gutters, visibility in the shallow water was about 6-8m but increased to about 10-12m down at 26m deep.
Jordan and Courtney who were doing their Deep Specialty Dives were lucky enough to see a 6-7 foot Bronze Whaler and Leopard Shark having a rest on the sand.
Schools fish, lots of Wobbegongs, painted Crayfish and 2 Eagle Rays were some of the other highlights.
Congratulations to Sharyn and Bruce who finished their PADI Advanced Open Water today
Visibility 6-12m
Temp 20-21C
