25th April 2025- Lovely Day at Groper Island
MegaWild welcomed the long weekend with open arms and packed up for a double dive! The skies were gloomy, but the vibes on the boat were immaculate and we all had a great day!
Upon arrival at South Solitary Island, we made a safe decision to call the dive and head over to SouthWest Solitary Island, also known as Groper, as we would be better protected from the wind and swell.
In and out at Coral Gardens Mooring for both dives, we spent the low vis day to take advantage of the Macro life! With warm water temperature, there were heaps of Nudibranchs out and even Nudibranch Eggs! Different shrimp species were sighted, some being Coral Banded Shrimp, Popcorn Shrimp, and Cleaner Shrimp. Egg Cowries, Lionfish, Wobbegongs, Cobia, schooling YellowTail and Bullseys, and Blue Groper were also some highlights! Of course, we had to stop by the massive Anenome Patch and we got to see all different kinds of Anenome Species!
