Two boats packed up for another great day out at South Solitary. MegaWild loaded up with students and some certified divers, whilst SoWild shot out with a group of divers from Melbourne!

Visibility wasn’t great still, so it was nice to get up close and personal with some marine life! Megawild saw divers jump in at Buchanan’s Wall for both dives,. SoWild took the opportunity to swim from Buchanan’s Wall on the first dive and from Shark Gutters to the Gantry on the second dive.

Turtles were definitely out and about today! We saw a variety of activity today from both Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles, such as eating a lions mane, sleeping, and having a good cruise around! The top end of the island was filled with fish life, all schooling around the boulder wall! The top end also had two Grey Nurse Sharks cruising through Cleaner Station. Once you got past the cloud of fish, you would be able to see Marble and Bull Rays on boulder wall. Of course we got to see some smaller animals hiding in the rocks, some notable animals being a Cowfish, Yellow Box Fish, White Eyed Moray Eel, and some nudibranchs.

Congratulations Clay, Brooke, Mel, Oliver, and Jordan for completing your PADI Open Water Course.
