27th April 2025- Cephalapod Kind of Day!
SoWild shot out to South Solitary Island today to finish the weekend off with some beautiful diving! Before we have another weather event loading tomorrow, we are grateful the visibility cleared up a bit for all of us!
Dive one saw everyone jump in at the Gantry. The highlight of this dive was the “squad” of squid seen swimming around the mooring! Both big and small, they were displaying some beautiful colours. To our surprise, we were also greeted by a White Tip Reef Shark!
Some of us jumped in at Shark Gutters to meet the rest of us at the Gantry again! Cuttlefish and Octopus were in abundance, making it a cephalopod kind of day! Wide Banded Anemone Fish (AKA Blue Lipped), Green and Hawksbill Turtles, Eagle Rays, different Morays, and some Black Cod are some other notable mentions!
Visibility : 5-10 metres
Temperature: 23C
