3rd April 2026 – South Solitary Delivers: Rays, Sharks & Epic Drifts
Both boats were fully booked today as we headed out to South Solitary—what a fantastic day on the water!
So Wild kicked things off with their first dive at Manta Arch, where they were treated to an incredible sight: two eagle rays playing at the surface. Beneath the water, the action continued with three grey nurse sharks and a Queensland grouper making an appearance. For their second dive, the group enjoyed a relaxed drift from the cleaning station to South Boulder, taking in the scenery along the way.
MegaWild started the day at Shark Gutters, spotting plenty of eagle rays and leopard sharks on their first dive. On the second dive, everyone entered again at Shark Gutters and followed the drop-off toward South Boulders, enjoying the diverse marine life throughout the journey.
A warm welcome back to Kerrie and Andrew, who returned to the water after completing their refresher—great to have you diving again!
And congratulations to Byron and Sarah on completing their Advanced Open Water course today—well done!
