3rd February 2025- Mega Wild heads out to the Lighthouse
Back at it again this morning, Mega Wild stacked up with a small-er group of divers and headed out to South Solitary Island to start the week with an epic double dive.
Although still not fabulous, the visibility and water temp did pick up compared to the past few days. We were stocked about this! First dive saw divers drop in on the top end at Shark Gutters mooring. This dive was all about the fish life! There was a mega massive wall of schooling fish that wrapped around Shark Gutter mooring past Cleaner Rock. A Grey Nurse Shark swam past our divers near Cleaner Station in around 18 metres of water, showing off its gnarly bite mark. Out in the deep, there were heaps of different Nudibranchs, a Green Turtle, and some Bull Rays!
Dive two was in and out at The Gantry! 3-4 Leopard Sharks were seen on this dive, one around the mooring at the Gantry and the others up near the Gap. There was a massive Green Turtle potting around, some Blue Spotted Sting Rays, abbots moray eels, and some more Nudibranchs. Up in the shallows there were sail fin tangs, blue tangs, and moorish idols as well.
Congratualtions to della, Khairyn, Lilli, and Imraan who all completed their PADI Open Water Course Today!
