5th January 2026- Magic Monday at South Sol
With another beautiful sunny day on Coffs Coast, we had yet another lovely dive crew who jumped on So Wild and headed out to blow some bubbles. It was a nice mix up to have the small boat run instead of Mega!
Dive one saw divers jump in at Buchanan’s Wall. All of our favourite smaller marine life mates were out to show off today! The wall had different shrimp species today, including Peppermint Shrimp, Popcorn Shrimp, and Coral Banded Shrimp. Both Yellow Box Fish and Cow Fish were hiding in the rocks, and Blue Lipped Anemone Fish displayed some beautiful colours. A big wobbegong swam past our Open Water Divers, too!
Dive two was a swim down the Boulder Wall. We started at Cleaner Station and swam down to finish at the Gantry. Cleaner Gutter was pumped with lots of schooling fish, personally, one of our favourite gutters to cruise through! Boulder Wall had Bull Rays swimming up and down and even an Eagle Ray in the distance. Blue Spiny Lobsters were sitting on the rock shelves, White Eye Moray and Abbotts Moray Eels, along with some Green Sea Turtles were also some highlights!
