Mega Wild set out this morning for South Solitary Island, loaded with some keen Scuba Divers. Jumping in at Shark Gutters for the first dive, we were met with the same schooling Batfish that have been hanging around enjoying the warm waters these past few weeks. Further down, divers had experiences with some Kobia tagging along with a Giant Stingray, some very shy octopus, and large numbers of Wobbegongs.

The conditions for the surface interval had worsened at South Solitary, and following reports from our snorkel boat at South West Solitary, Mega packed up and moved there in search of calmer waters and better vis. Dive two at crazy maze lived up to its name, with divers getting lost in the gutters that make up the maze. Hidden along the way, divers found some rarely spotted parrotfish, making their home in the warming waters. Also spotted were some Banded-Coral, and Peppermint shrimp, Moray and Abbott’s eels, and a lonely hawksbill turtle.
