7th February 2026- Sunny Shark Saturday
Today’s divers were treated to exceptional conditions at South Solitary Island, with warm water temperatures and crystal-clear visibility setting the scene for a seriously memorable day below the surface. What truly stole the show, though, was the sheer abundance of Leopard Sharks cruising the island. Divers reported at least 20 individual leopards encountered between the top end of the island and The Gantry. As if that wasn’t enough, plenty of action around the Gap with a whole heap of Green and Hawksbill turtles hanging out.
With great conditions, big animal encounters, and relaxed marine life everywhere you looked, South Solitary Island well and truly delivered today.
