8th April 2026 – Wonderful Wednesday to Be Diving!
A fabulous group headed out with SoWild to South Solitary for the first dive, entering at Shark Gutters. There were still plenty of leopard sharks hanging around.
For the second dive, we enjoyed a nice, relaxing, slow drift from Shark Gutters around to the Gantry, with conditions steadily improving throughout the day. Along the way, we came across a mantis shrimp sitting out on a rock, showing off its very pretty purple tail, as well as nudibranchs and a couple wobbegong. We finished the dive on top of 5 Metre Rock for our safety stop, where we spotted multiple black egg cowries
Congratulations, Dorian, on completing your Open Water Dive course over the past three days! Enjoy your diving, and safe travels heading back home to Melbourne.
