9th January 2026- Monday Madness!
Mega Wild ventured out for another day of great diving. Who said there was a better way to kickstart your week than a double dive on a Monday?! We had a great crew of divers who joined a great crew of staff! Gloomy skies didn’t dampen the mood, as the conditions have been fabulous this past week!
Dive one was a drop-in at Manta Arch for a pick up at The Gantry, which meant divers were able to swim through the gap in the island! Dive two was in and out at the Gantry, which was protected from the Northerly Wind hitting the Island.
Some of us ventured through the Arch, while others stayed shallow in the back gutter. The Arch had 2 Grey Nurse Sharks, just cruising through. There were heaps of Leopard Sharks out and about this morning, about 15 spotted! (No pun intended). Eagle Rays were also seen swimming in a “fever” near The Gap. Dive two was a lovely time underwater! Highlights of this dive included MORE leopard sharks (half a dozen), Sailfin tang, Nudibranchs, Egg Cowries, another Eagle Ray, and some Blue Spotted Rays. And of course some Green Turtles!
Congratualtions to Lewis, Natasha, Lisa, Peter, and Anna for completing your PADI Open Water Diver Course today!
