28th July 2024: First Mugging of the Season

Mega wild and its keen passengers ventured out of the harbour this morning in search of the whales! As some whales are heading north still and some are already heading south, we had a lot to look out for!

Initially we were greeted with two that were hanging out on the surface, although not very active. We crusied around, passing by some random breaches and fin slaps. Later, the two intial whales we saw came back to play! We were being mugged for approximately 30 minutes. These adult whales were heading south. Calm and relaxed after their trip north, they were playful while showing us repeated tail slaps, spy hopping, and circling the boat! These gentle giants stuck around until it was time for us to venture back into the harbour.

Whales Sighted: 6-7 (3 extrely playful!!!)
