Beqa Lagoon Resort hosts one of the greatest Tiger Shark Dives on the planet! Cathedral Shark Dive is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Multiple shark species such as Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Lemon Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, White Tip Reef Sharks, Black Tip Reef Sharks plus thousands of fish including rainbow runners, napoleon wrasse, remoras, trigger fish, and red snappper (just to name a few!) on the one dive!

About Beqa Lagoon
Beqa Island lies just 10 kilometres off the south coast of the main island of Viti Levu. The fringing reef around Beqa and the barrier reef around Beqa Lagoon is one of Fiji’s most-loved diving and snorkelling locations.
A stay on Beqa Island will give you a glimpse into the traditional Melanesian way of life. Experience true Fijian hospitality, and see real local, rural village life. Beqa Lagoon is untouched by mass tourism or modern developments.
Beqa is very child and non-diver friendly! Our trip leader Lindsay has taken his children every time, even when both under 5 years old. In resort babysitters will ensure your littles have a great time while you’re out diving!
Weather of Beqa Lagoon
Beqa Island has a tropical climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. Our Beqa Lagoon adventure will be in the dry season (May to November). Temperatures average at 26°C, and you can expect up to 8 hours of sunshine per day. July is the driest and coolest month in Beqa.
Diving in Beqa
Beqa has over 100 dive sites! Most of these sites are within a twenty-minute boat ride from the resorts. These include two shipwrecks, and the world-famous Beqa Lagoon Shark Dive at “The Cathedral”.
Reefs in Beqa have a variety of marine life, from beautiful corals to huge Tiger and Bull Sharks (what we’re diving for!!). You can also see Blue Ribbon Eels, Lionfish, Leaf Scorpions, Clown Triggers.
On our trip to Beqa in 2022 we even got to experience a beautiful dive site that was a bit further away – Blue Wall. This site had gorgeous 40m visibility, and amazing tropical marine life. There was a second site on this day that we even got to name (it was just discovered) and is now called “Jetty Reef”.
The water in Beqa is clear and warm, with temperature around 25°C, and visibility is typically between 20-30 metres. Currents are mostly gentle.
Shark Diving
Drop into the perimeter of the reef and get ready to witness an unforgettable Shark Dive. You can feel the excitement in the water as sharks, hundreds of jacks, snappers, the occasional massive Queensland grouper, humphead wrasse, and other incredible marine life circle the dive site.
Feeders settle around the reef, and then the real spectacle begins. Tawny Nurse sharks, Lemon sharks, Bull sharks and Tiger sharks speed towards the feeders, feeding from their hands. An unmissable, unforgettable diving experience that will keep you coming back time and time again.

10 Dive Package (2 dives per day, including 2 shark dives) from Beqa Lagoon. Includes tanks, weights, and dive guide.
BONUS Group inclusions:
Unlimited shore diving, Fiji Village visit + entertainment daily, use of kayaks and Stand Up Paddleboards.
Exclusions:
Price does not include: Travel insurance, meals other than specified, personal spending money, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, any excess luggage fees.
