Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (HLTAID009)
The provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course – otherwise known as CPR – is a workplace accredited course teaching you CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. CPR is the technique of chest compressions combined with rescue breathing, and is used when a person suffers an event leading them to become unconscious and stop breathing.
CPR has been deemed an important aspect of First Aid. Research has shown that commencing CPR early saves lives. The aim is to circulate blood flow through a person’s body consistently enough to maintain brain function until medical personnel arive.
The HLTAID009 course gives you the knowledge, method, and confidence to provide CPR in an emergency, and provides you with workplace accreditation for these skills.
