24TH JUNE 2016 – CHILLY WAKE UP CALL FOR HUMPBACK WHALES
We had a chilly 7am Whale Watch this morning as we knew the wind was going to pick up around 9 or 10am.
After a short trip North we caught up with a few different pods of whales with some that were on a mission steaming north and a few splashing around and having fun doing tail rolls and tail slaps.
Everyone from the NSW Rural Palliative Care Nurses Group had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We are planning our next Whale Watching trips to be on either Sunday Afternoon or Monday. Give us a call on 66511611 to book on.

Our 2pm trip was very lucky to see a newly born Humpback Calf, this little guy was first seen as a dolphin but once it started tail slapping for the very first time nothing was stopping it!! We had to stay 300m away from a new born but it was still a very special trip.

31ST JULY 2016 WILD WHALE JUMPS AT WILD OATS!
With three Whale Watch trips scheduled today, we had our job cut out for us looking for Whales all day. Every trip produced some whale action however the last trip at 2.00pm brought on a Jumper!
Just as the racing yacht, Wild Oats was sailing past on it’s race to the Gold Coast from Sydney, we had a whale put on a show with a few lunges and jumps to complete the show. The photo was snapped by Lindsay on one of his jumps.
With wild weather and rough seas forecast from Monday afternoon onward, we have another Whale trip at 9.00am tomorrow and maybe 11.00am before the wind blows.

13TH AUGUST 2016 – WHALES STILL HEADING NORTH
On our afternoon Whale Watch today we had some excitement from a couple of large, male Humpback Whales that looked to be chasing a female heading north!
There was a lot of splashing and changing of directions from the whales, which at one point, lead them straight to the boat.
Very exciting for everyone on board and beautiful afternoon on the water.

17TH AUGUST 2016 – JUVENILE HUMPBACK JUMPS FOR JOY
This mornings whale watching trip had a very special encounter with a juvenile Humpback Whale showing off his new skills to everyone on board.
The sea conditions were perfect with only a slight NE breeze and little to no swell. The mother Humpback Whale was soaking up the sun and resting not far away from the little one.
Very special to have these whales so close to our coast. Amazing day!!

22ND SEPTEMBER 2016 – HUMPBACK WHALES WAVE GOODBYE TO THE COFFS COAST
The Beautiful Coffs Coast turned it up a notch today making it feel like a summers day with no wind and gorgeous sunshine.
The Humpback whales were also soaking up the sun and making the most of the calm conditions before heading back south to the Antarctica, we had a mother and calf rolling around who couldn’t resist showing off their beautiful tails.
Out a little wider we had a synchronised pair who at the end of the trip gave everyone on the boat some big waves using their Pectoral Fins saying “see you next year”.
Amazing day on the water!!

25TH SEPTEMBER 2016 – HUMPBACKS PRACTICE HEAD STANDS
We had another amazing day watching the migrating Humpback Whales today! During one of our morning trips the heavens opened up and it bucketed down, this did not worry the whales as they kept on jumping and tail slapping.
We had one Whale doing an exceptional job with its headstands making the tail stick straight up into the air.
Our trips are still running till the end of October. 9am, 11am and 2pm daily with weather permitting so don’t miss out!!

4TH OCTOBER 2016 – WINDY CONDITIONS MAKE HUMPBACK WHALES JUMP
We are not sure why but the Humpback Whales off the Coffs Coast love to jump when its windy. Our trips today had them Breaching, tail slapping, pectoral slapping and they came so close to the boat you could hear them breathing!!
Very special to see these beautiful creatures so close, only a few weeks left for Whale Watching so book on!!
