Description
The Hollis SMS 75 Sidemount BCD is an evolution from years of sidemount development, which started with the SMS100. The SMS has been copied and modified, subsequently becoming a technical sidemount benchmark.
The Hollis SMS75 Sidemount BCD will also support rear mounted twin or single tanks and reversible inflator positions. In the imaeg, the inflator is in Sidemount position, it can revert to the shoulder dump position. This BCD is a great all rounder BCD.
With the evolving Sidemount BCD designs only allowing sidemount options, the Hollis SMS 75 Sidemount BCD is versatile in the ability to alter and use as a single tank option too. In fact the BCD as a single tank BCD has a great design and shape of the aircell which rivals the best rear inflation BCDs.
Proper trim is key. Therefore, the SMS75 wing is designed to promote horizontal diving with increased lift towards the hips where it’s needed most.
Details of the SMS 75 Sidemount BCD
- Trapezoid shape to promote horizontal trim.
- Adjustable and removable wing bungee.
- Designed for cave or open water sidemount.
- Cam slots for single tank and grommets at 11” for banded doubles.
- Reversible Inflator & Dump assembly.
- Rigging kit included: Tank bungees, Stainless Steel Cam bands, SS Bolt snaps & nylon line.
- Includes sternum strap & crotch strap.
- Inner located elbow to avoid overhead interference.
- Rugged 1000D Cordura material for outer cover of aircell.
- Lift capacity of the aircell is 40 lbs. or 18 kgs.
- Two sizes available: SM/MD or LG/XL.
- System weight including rigging is 3.2kg.
